MEET YOUR THERAPIST

Angelina Drennen, LPC-MHSP(t) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Professional in the state of Tennessee and earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She has experience working with individuals and couples in outpatient recovery and in private practice. Her experience includes counseling couples in addiction recovery and couples in ministry.

Angelina has been married for 30 years and has experienced the highs and lows that married couples often struggle with. As a parent of three children, she has also faced the challenges that are associated with parenthood. Because of these experiences, she has a passion for working with married couples to restore their marriage.

She has personally experienced the benefits of working with a counselor to address issues that have negatively impacted her life. This experience gives her a connection in helping individuals as they navigate the struggles associated with grief, anxiety, trauma, depression, and other life stressors.

The counseling process at Drennen Counseling incorporates the development of a safe relationship between client and counselor where healthy change can occur.  Each client is viewed as an individual using counseling techniques that apply to their unique issues. Some of the techniques that Angelina uses include Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Integration Therapy (AAIT).

Angelina Drennen is fulfilling her TN state licensure requirements under the clinical supervision of Jodi Clarke, MA, LPC-MHSP(S), NCC.
